After a night in which his wildly unqualified, “bullshit” VP pick eviscerated Barack Obama with a colossal pack of lies and sarcastic insults, John McCain plans to test the American people’s intelligence a mere 24 hours later by calling for “an end to the rancor” in our politics.

I know… but try to not laugh. He’s serious.

How many will fall for it? What will be the correlation be of people who fall for McCain’s horseshit vs. the number of active Fox viewers? I can tell you that number in advance: 100%.

Stay tuned to watch self-flagellating network flacks fall over themselves agreeing with Grandpa Simpson…. just before they turn to some story blaming all the rancor on Obama.

The day after the GOP officially nominated Grandpa Simpson as their party’s nominee to lead the country into the 21st century, stocks reacted by plunging more than 300 points.

Wall Street clearly not confident in a McCain Administration— despite what the media would have you believe. Perhaps the financial Masters of the Universe are not psyched about having a prom queen run the world after Grandpa Simpson goes into a “home”.

That or perhaps the whole, “I don’t know much about the economy” thing is a bit scary?

Either way, stocks in the toilet.

Seriously, where the fuck is Bambi & Co on this shit? Did you see Biden this morning on CNN saying he wouldn’t attack her? Why-the-fuck-not?

Whoa! Grandpa Simpson’s Prom Queen can read! I guess after eight years of G.W. the national media is stunned, stunned! by any Republican that can read (ever see McCain work a teleprompter? It’s a lot like having front row seats for a root canal).

Nevertheless, it seems that a former beauty pageant contestant and sportscaster stunned a nation last night by effectively reading! Amazing!

Forget her “Bridge To Nowhere” lies, forget her whining over being called a hick (though no one actually has), by God, she fired her chef and sold her jet! This woman is incredible!

After bitching all summer long about Obama’s qualifications, seems all is forgotten in the national media if you can find a perky hockey mom from the PTA who can read. (And in all honestly, that does pretty much does blow out the Republican curve.)

Peggy Noonan’s mea culpa has come fast and hard (gotta protect those conservative paychecks, baby). Seems she like, totally semi-regrets participating in open mic night over at MSNBC.

And who’s fault is it that she calls McCain’s prom queen “bullshit”? Well, the media’s of, course. Or more precisely, “the nature of the modern media.” This certainly is the party of personal responsibility.

Likewise it would seem that, “someone abused my meaning of the words, ‘it’s over’.” Someone? Hmmm… who could that someone be Peggy? And “abused” her words “It’s over.”? Abused?

Gotta love it. I mean it ain’t exactly the classic “taken out of context” now is it? Gotta give it to people who come up with new and exciting ways to explain their, and pardon the expression, Bullshit!
