So awful it sounds like bullshit, right? It’s not.

Sarah Palin likes to brag that part of her “executive experience” was being the Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska from 1996-2002. Well, in 2000 the town of Wasilla began charging women who claimed to be raped for their own forensic testing. Seemed Sarah & Co., decided that they wanted to save the tax payers the estimated $5000-$14,000 per year that these tests cost the city.

While the Alaska State Troopers and most municipal police agencies have covered the cost of exams, which cost between $300 to $1,200 apiece, the Wasilla police department does charge the victims of sexual assault for the tests.

Wasilla Police Chief Charlie Fannon does not agree with the new (state-wide) legislation (outlawing the practice of charging victims for their tests), saying the law will require the city and communities to come up with more funds to cover the costs of the forensic exams.

In the past we’ve charged the cost of exams to the victims insurance company when possible. I just don’t want to see any more burden put on the taxpayer, Fannon said.

Sarah Palin was mayor of this town. She and McCain are leading in the polls among white women by 12 points!

The guy who cheats on, then divorces, his first wife while she’s recovering from a car accident so he can go off and pick up a new and improved trophy wife 20 years his junior with piles of money, then spend the next 20 years telling rape jokes and calling his wife a cunt has a 12 point lead among white women! WTF?!

Apparently his nakedly cynical ploy of putting a prom queen on the ticket who clearly has no qualifications other than her vagina and is in favor of stripping women around the country of their right of Choice— even in cases of rape and incest- is working.

According to a letter to the Palm Beach Post, the mayor of the Alaskan town of Talkeetna is Stubbs the Cat. (This is not a joke). As such, the local mayor/mouse catcher has nearly as much vaunted “executive experience” in Alaska as John McCain’s pick for Vice President of the United States of America. Good judgement, John.

Good Morning America assembled four of Palin’s closest friends from the past 15 years to talk about the governor. Turns out though they like her, they ain’t so sure about voting for her.

The front page of today’s NYT lays it out: Obama is having trouble raising cash. As is well-known, Bambi & Co. backed out of public financing for the Fall Fight and are now kinda sorta having second thoughts about that. Seems the dough ain’t rollin’ in at the rate expected, and we all know the big-money Hillary people are sitting on their hands. We got the shitty hotel rooms at the convention, fuck him!

In addition to overestimating the Hillraiser’s love, seems Obama’s team didn’t really think about the fact that raising all that cash takes time. Instead being out on the trail extolling the benefits of Obama Love, the man himself is having to take precious time off the campaign to go around to rich folks begging for cash. Not good.

Richie Rich meanwhile is sitting on $84 million of tax payer money, plus he’s pimping out the prom queen in a major way to raise cash for the well-oiled RNC machine. The former beauty queen is expected to be doing the old white men of the GOP 35 times (in group sessions) over the next two months.
