leave a comment »

Check out this mini-doc on Sarah Palin’s mismanagement of Wasiila’s finances. Among other things it explores how Sarah used $50,000 meant for Wasilla roads to decorate her office and how she used city funds for her campaign expenses during her failed run for Lieutenant Governor in 2002.

Sarah Palin Has Never Seen Russia from Alaska (VIDEO)

leave a comment »

You know the whole, “We can see Russia from Alaska” thing? Turns out Sarah Palin has never actually seen Russia from her home state of Alaska. Never. Not once. Nope. It’s just something she says, but isn’t actually true— you know, like telling people you sold your jet on Ebay or that you said “No thanks” to the Bridge to Nowhere when you didn’t. Nice, but not true.

Check out the clip here.

Bill O’Reilly, Lying Douche

with one comment

Serial whore chaser and Fox “News” liar Bill O’Reilly is claiming that in a “60 Minutes” interview McCain was asked about the economic crisis, while Obama was not during his “60 Minutes” interview.

Quote from sexual predator, Bill O’Reilly:

All right, here I am. Now, John McCain was on 60 Minutes along with Barack Obama last night. They didn’t ask Obama — Steve Kroft did not — about this financial disaster, OK? But they did ask McCain. Roll the tape.

O’Reilly proceeds to roll tape on the McCain interview where Richie Rich was, in fact, asked about the financial crisis. Then in true Fox fashion, O’Reilly neglects to roll tape from the Obama interview. Wanna know why? ‘Cuz Obama was asked about the financial crisis— several times— and O’Reilly is a lying douchebag. Transcript after the jump.

12 Lies of Sarah Palin

leave a comment »

The pitbull can’t seem to walk a straight line. Here’s the break down in no uncertain terms from the Atlantic:

– She has lied about the Bridge To Nowhere. She ran for office favoring it, wore a sweatshirt defending it, and only gave it up when the federal congress, Senator McCain in particular, went ballistic. She kept the money anyway and favors funding Don Young’s Way, at twice the cost of the original bridge.

– She has lied about her firing of the town librarian and police chief of Wasilla, Alaska.

– She has lied about pressure on Alaska’s public safety commissioner to fire her ex-brother-in-law.

– She has lied about her previous statements on climate change.

– She has lied about Alaska’s contribution to America’s oil and gas production.

– She has lied about when she asked her daughters for their permission for her to run for vice-president.

– She has lied about the actual progress in constructing a natural gas pipeline from Alaska.

– She has lied about Obama’s position on habeas corpus.

– She has lied about her alleged tolerance of homosexuality.

– She has lied about the use or non-use of a TelePrompter at the St Paul convention.

– She has lied about her alleged pay-cut as mayor of Wasilla.

– She has lied about what Alaska’s state scientists concluded about the health of the polar bear population in Alaska.

Update On: Bitch, Bitch, Bitch– Oh, And it’s Good.

leave a comment »

Couple days ago we talked about how McCain’s camp was crying their eyes out over accurate reporting by the New York Times, by claiming it wasn’t even a “journalistic organization.” (See: here.)

Well, turns out it is a journalistic organization after all— and McCain’s not going to like it any better. The original piece that prompted the McCain camp tantrum was about campaign manager Rick Davis’ ties to Freddie Mac as a lobbyist. (You know McCain’s team is run by lobbyists, right?)

Outraged and shocked by the factual article examining Davis’ ties to Freddie prompted this outburst by McCain himself:

“My campaign manager has stopped that, has had nothing to do with it since and I’ll be glad to have his record examined by anybody who wants to look at it.”

Turns out that was just a lie.

Being journalists, the NYT looked into McCain’s claim, and guess what? Davis’ firm was being paid by Freddie Mac right through last month— to the tune of $15,000 a month! (How much do you make a month?) I wonder, what’s Freddie get for their monthly  $15k deposit to McCain’s campaign manager?

Road to Nowhere Opens

leave a comment »

How will the prom queen spin this one? Her Road to Nowhere, a $25 million gravel road leading to the site of the bridge that Palin championed but now lies about, opened this weekend in Alaska. The road was built with federal tax dollars.

The 3.2 mile road will serve as a running track for 5k and 10k races and perhaps useful to hunters so that they need not trudge through brush during their attempts to kill things, but that’s about it.

See Palin was for the bridge before she was against, but even after she turned against the $400 million project, she sure the hell wasn’t giving any of the money back. That’s why she built the $25 million service road to approach the bridge (that doesn’t exist). So she was able to keep the federal cash.

John McCain says he opposes pork barrel spending. His choice for VP seems to indicate that he places politics above principle.

Another Palin Lie

leave a comment »

This is seriously like shooting fish in a barrel.

The prom queen has repeatedly said that she “took a pay cut” as mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.

Here’s Palin’s pay over her tenure as mayor of the meth capital of Alaska:

For me, and I’m just a stupid liberal elitist who can do third grade math, but “cut” signifies a reduction (i.e. “We’re cutting prices”, “he ‘cut’ his hair”, and yes, “I took a pay ‘cut'”.) But when you make more than you did before, it’s kinda hard to argue you took ‘cut’. Unless you’re Sarah Palin— then you just lie.

Shocker: ABC Realizes Palin is a Liar

leave a comment »

ABC News had discovered an internal document that shows that Sarah Palin is lying about her latest reason for firing her public safety chief in the “Troopergate” scandal.

Seems the prom queen has been saying her reason for firing the life long public servant is not because he refused to fire her brother in law, but because he had a “rogue mentality” and made “an unauthorized trip to Washing D.C.”

Here’s the good part: The document shows that Palin approved the trip to D.C.! So much for that reason… better think of new lie— fast!

Full story here.

Sarah Palin, World’s Biggest Liar

with one comment

Did you see this stupid shit?

Shit chucking ape, Sean Hannity, while kissing Sarah Palin’s ass in an “interview” last night asked the following question:

Did you watch Tina Fey on “Saturday Night Live”?

The prom queen’s bizarre lie in response:

I watched with the volume all the way down and I thought it was hilarious, she was spot on.

What the fuck did she just say? Fortunately it continued, ‘cuz I couldn’t believe my fucking ears:

HANNITY: Do you think you could play her one day?

PALIN: Oh absolutely. It was hilarious. Again, I didn’t hear a word she said, but the visual was spot on.

It’s not that I care that she’s clearly a pathological liar, but it’s just that she’s so fucknig bad at it.

Words From America’s Foremost Energy Expert

leave a comment »

Remember how John McCain laughingly said that Sarah Palin “probably knew more about energy than anyone in America.”?

Seems our foremost energy expert doesn’t even have a basic grasp of the facts as they pertain to her state.

Check it out:

After nonpartisan Factcheck.org pointed out Palin’s error in her interview with Gibson, the governor revised her statement somewhat, limiting it to oil and gas. But data compiled by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) contradict her claim that she oversees “nearly 20 percent” of oil and gas production in the country. According to authoritative EIA data, Alaska accounted for 7.4 percent of total U.S. oil and gas production in 2005.

McCain’s probable comeback: I said she was an expert in energy, not math!

McCain Bullshit Meter Launched Today

with 2 comments

This is pretty good. The DNC has launched this site to keep track of John McCain’s bullshit. Countthelies.org keeps a running total of John McCain and Sarah Palin’s bullshit.

I can only imagine it’s a full-time job that employs a staff of hundreds. So far their at 52. Clearly they don’t count repeats, as Sarah Palin has told her Bridge to Nowhere lie about 33 times already.

GOP: Vote for liars! Truth, apparently, is not a Family Value.

More Stupid Palin Lies

leave a comment »

From the Atlantic: Back when she was increasing the long-term debt of the town of Wasilla by 69 percent, Mayor Palin also fired the town’s police chief and librarian, Irl Stambaugh and Mary Ellen Emmons. The accusation was that they were fired because they had supported her opponent in the previous election. Palin denied any political motivation. But whatever the merits of the firing, what is salient is that Palin’s reflexive instinct was to lie in public about it. From theAnchorage Daily News:

Reached at her home … Palin said she planned to meet with Stambaugh and Emmons this afternoon. She also disputed whether they had actually been fired. ‘‘There’s been no meeting, no actual terminations,” she said.

This was another odd lie – easily disproven:

Stambaugh’s response was to read part of the letter given to him. ”Although I appreciate your service as police chief, I’ve decided it’s time for a change. I do not feel I have your full support in my efforts to govern the city of Wasilla. Therefore I intend to terminate your employment. . . . ” ”If that’s not a letter of termination, I don’t know what is,” he said.

Summary of Palin’s Bridge to Nowhere Lies

leave a comment »

You all know the drill: In her speeches, Sarah Palin routinely and repeatedly uses the phrase: “I told the Congress ‘thanks, but no thanks,’ for that Bridge to Nowhere.” In the McCain-Palin ads, the claim is that she “stopped the Bridge to Nowhere.”

Here are the facts, with documentation:

In 2006, Palin ran for governor on a “build-the-bridge” platform,[101]attacking “spinmeisters”[102] for insulting local residents by calling them “nowhere”[101] and urging speed “while our congressional delegation is in a strong position to assist.”[103] About two years after the introduction of the bridge proposals, a month after the bridge received sharp criticism from John McCain,[104] and nine months into Palin’s term as governor, Palin canceled the Gravina Bridge, blaming Congress for not providing enough funding.[105] Alaska will not return any of the $442 million to the federal government[106] and is spending a portion of the funding, $25 million, on a Gravina Island road to the place where the bridge would have gone, expressly so that none of the money will have to be returned.[101] Palin continues to support funding Don Young’s Way, estimated as more than twice as expensive as the Gravina Bridge would have been.[107]

I appreciate the conservative readers that this blog has been attracting. Please, before you respond that this is just wikipedia nonsense, do yourself a favor and click the links to verify all documentation before commenting.
